I get stuck in "ruts" as much as the next person. I go through ups and downs and can often wallow in my feelings.
This happens to me. I'm sure it's happened to you. It happens to all of us. What I've learned in the process is to focus on what I can actually do to better my situation and contribute to it -- and what I'm continually reminded of is to try my best to focus on what's good.
Oh yea, what's good.
In case you need a little reminder, the wonderful team over at Darling magazine (#darlingmovement) has this mission statement, that is ever engrossing -- it's as if they're whispering this in our ears.
Let this melody play over and over in your mind:
Here for a purpose.
No matter how much wallowing takes place, how much someone tries to make us feel less than we are, no matter the days that go by where we haven't seen our dreams come to fruition, no matter how many downs we might have -- let's try our best to remember the good, the gratitude of what is and what is to come, and to use the tools we have to help bring about the change we wish to see.
That we have a purpose. That we are a work of art.
What are you grateful for? What's the good in your life that you haven't paid too much attention to yet? See it, praise it, be thankful as much as you can for it -- remembering in the process that you're well equipped, you have a purpose -- that there's only one you and a path that only you can fulfill.
You're here for a purpose. Keep moving forward on your journey.
Believing in our victory!
