The "S" Word...

image.jpg

Powerful words! Don't let your enormous potential go unrealized because you're too afraid to let your light shine. Grace is upon your life! Don't have a "me, me, me" mentality, but always do the very, very best that you can and never diminish the light that is within you! Don't let anyone else diminish it either. Who you are and the talents you have are meant to shine. So shine on... :)

I'll leave you with another quote. One of my favorites ever and a really popular one, from Marianne Williamson. :)

Today and always, be blessed. :)

- Jess

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” - Marianne Williamson

Acts of Kindness...

"Do to others what you would have them do to you..." - Matthew 7:12

This is something I work toward doing each day and the reason I started this blog. To be more kind.

I try not to get so caught up in the disruptions (some of them being meaningless) within each day -- but instead, I try really hard to focus on all that is good within each day. I accept things won't go according to plan sometimes. That's life. But I also accept to focus MORE on what's good. Because all that is good is... what lifts my spirits, what allows me to be filled with joy, and what helps me to spread more kindness.

I encourage you to focus on the good. I encourage you to be more kind. I encourage you to laugh more. I encourage you to do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Today and always, be blessed. :)
