The Painted Picture...

Maya Angelou said, "When someone shows you who they really are, believe them...the first time." This is too true.

Yes, sometimes people have "off days"...when they're not their "usual", "nice" self. We all have those and that's fine. We're human and we all go through ups and downs. But then you have people who are constantly showing you their true colors and the color isn't very nice. They're always bickering or negative or disrespectful or causing trouble. When someone is constantly acting a certain way, not just every now and then but on a regular basis, that is who the person is --they have shown you their true colors over and over and over again.

People will show you who they really are ...it's just a matter of whether or not you will believe them when they do. You can't physically change someone or their behavior. You CAN influence them and help them become aware but it's ultimately up to them whether or not they want to change their ways.

Don't fool yourself. Don't tell yourself lies about what people SHOW you. Always be aware. :) Pray for discernment. Keep a good circle of friends around you --and as my boy Matthew McConaughey would say, "Just keep livin!"

Today and always, be blessed. :)
